What drivers see on their phones, and how to give a driver access in the first place.

Drivers get their own app on their phone - their jobs, their shifts, photos and signatures, and their own activity ledger. It is a separate sign-in from your operator login, managed under Fleet → Drivers.

Give a driver access

Adding a driver to your fleet does not give them a login. Access is a separate, deliberate step.

  1. Open Fleet → Drivers and choose the driver.
  2. Make sure their email address is filled in and saved - the invitation goes there.
  3. Find the Driver app card. It says No access yet or Can sign in, so you never have to remember what you did last week.
  4. Press Send app access. They get an email, pick their own password, and they are in.

What a driver sees

  • Today - the jobs assigned to them, in order, with the customer, the vehicle and both addresses.
  • Job actions - accept, on the way, on scene, complete. Each one timestamps the job for you automatically.
  • Photos and signature - captured on the phone, attached to the job, and available on the invoice and in reports.
  • Shifts - start and end their shift, so hours are recorded without paperwork.
  • Ledger - their own record of shifts, job updates and checks, not pay.

Things worth knowing

  • A driver only ever sees jobs assigned to them. They cannot see your pricing, your clients or the rest of the board.
  • Everything a driver records is stamped with who did it and when, which is what makes the job history defensible later.
  • Removing a driver from the fleet ends their access. Their completed jobs and their history stay exactly where they are.

Good to know

Client logins are different and live under Clients → Portal Users - see Client Portal Settings.
